My FIRST CAROUSEL

INTRODUCTION
This project was created as part of my studies and is my first Instagram carousel post. I drew inspiration from the internet and focused on exploring Photoshop tools and effects. The theme was to create something inspiring rather than soft or dreamy, guided by one of my favorite quotes: “In a city of dreams, every dreamer is a creator, shaping their own reality with the power of their imagination.”
I wanted to build around this idea and encourage viewers to dream big, using visuals that feel bold, imaginative, and visually striking.
DESIGN DECISIONS
- Imagery: Using clouds and a starry sky as central elements to evoke a dreamy feeling.
- Details: Adding small elements that connect to the theme while harmonizing with the chosen color palette.
- Concept development: Building around the quote to create a sense of wonder and inspiration, encouraging viewers to embrace creativity and imagination.
- Color palette: Deeper purples and blues paired with pink shades to balance the design. Bright blues and greens for added versatility and dreamy mystery vibes.
DESIGN PROCESS
The palette developed through experimentation, combining deep purples, rich dark pinks, bright blues, and subtle greens to create a visually compelling composition. I focused on designing the carousel so that each slide transitions smoothly, allowing elements of the previous and next posts to peek through, creating a cohesive and engaging flow. Each element was chosen to enhance the inspirational tone while exploring contrasts and balance in the design.
